I always like to try new music, and after trying Lisa Ekdahl’s 2014 album “Look to Your Own Heart”, I bought her 2009 album “give me that slow knowing smile“. Such a sweet voice. Also, Sting’s new album “57th and 9th”, a new classic. I also got somewhat nostalgic and bought his first album “Dream of the Blue Turtles”, which I have never owned as a CD (owned a tape once). Listening to two new artists at the moment, going along with my new found interest in Nordic music. First off is Lisa Ekdahl, a Swedish singer with a incredibly soft, soothing voice. Listening to her latest album, look to your own heart. The second album is A/B from Icelandic rock band KALEO. Their music is an amalgam of differing styles, alternate, blues, indie, garage punk? You name it. Great vocals, love the album.

If you like the TV series Vikings, you may also like the theme song to the series, performed by Swedish musician Fever Ray (also known as Karin Elisabeth Dreijer). The theme song is If I Had a Heart, but the whole album is quiet brilliant.
